Happy Thanksgiving, Fellow Travelers!

Sometimes a gentle coo overheard while leaving a friend's house can turn into a full-blown photo session.  And an opportunity to make new friends.  My phone had to die for me to stop taking pictures!  I think I made a real connection with one of these creatures.  See if you can guess which one.

Wishing all a holiday filled with love, laughter, good food, warmth, peace and contentment.
Cluck.

Elixir of Color, Cure for November Blahs

November can be beautiful.  We search for the last of the colorful leaves to feed our eyes and souls.  And on those precious sunny days, the ones with silvery white clouds suspended in clear, crisp air, our hearts beat just a little faster.

But a lot of the days can be dreary and bleak.  Soggy leaves, a bit of slush, oops-wet socks. Lots of browns and grays.  It's not for everyone.  So if you find yourself feeling a bit less than energized sometime this month, just click back here and get an elixir of color.

Autumn with a Touch of Winter

It is still autumn.  And a lot of the trees are hanging on to their leaves.  The city had scheduled leaf pick-up for this week.  They came, they swept, but they certainly didn't conquer.  Most of the leaves are still hanging up there.  I heard a teaser on TV about why, but I never heard the story itself.  Stubbornness? Wouldn't that make a great story?  -This just in.  The trees in Minneapolis are not losing their leaves in a timely manner this year. Experts have determined that the trees are just being stubborn.-  I would love to hear that. But since I didn't, here is a bit of the stubbornness of trees.
