A morning in early May in a spring that is very late.

There are a lot of things starting to pop up now that we have gotten a little warm weather. But things are really far behind.  It's the first week in May and I have to search the garden to find some flowers to photograph.  I discovered that the little early ones are wonderful when you get up close.  Maybe this year is working out for them.  They are certainly getting more notice now that they're the only show in town.  Or in garden.  

The only show that is, except of course for the ducks.  

They look like they've got the faeries surrounded.
